Obama gets a golf tip as Presidents Cup teams visit White House

Maybe President Obama had an ulterior motive when he invited a group of professional golfers to the White House.
The U.S. and International squads from the 2013 Presidents Cup visited the East Wing of the White House on Tuesday night and Obama made use of the opportunity.
“I want to thank Phil Mickelson for giving me an excellent tip on my sand game,” he said. “Because I’m pretty sure I could shave at least two or three strokes if I could just get out of the darn sand.”
The visitors also included Tiger Woods, Nick Price, K.J. Choi, Ernie Els and Fred Couples. Some players brought their wives; Woods was accompanied by girlfriend Lindsey Vonn. Vice President Joe Biden and House Speaker John A. Boehner also attended.
Obama talked about serving as honorary chairman at the last two competitions, both won by the U.S. (“I’m just saying,” he quipped.) He mentioned the presence of 20-year-old phenom Jordan Spieth.
“They might card him later at the reception,” the president said.
And it seems that Jason Dufner could not leave without taking a selfie with his wife, Amanda, who later posted the shot on Instagram.
