Cost of Pat Haden’s sideline visit doubles, for a good cause

USC Athletic Director Pat Haden’s Saturday trip to the sideline just doubled in cost.
But the dollars will go to good causes.
The Pac-12 Conference on Monday fined Haden $25,000 for inappropriate sideline conduct during USC’s victory at Stanford.
Haden had requested the conference donate the money to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles to support autism research, “to honor my five year old grandson who has autism,” he said in a tweet.
But on Wednesday, Haden tweeted that the fine must be applied to the Pac-12 postgraduate scholarship fund.
But Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles won’t be missing out on $25,000: Haden tweeted that he will write a second check.
