The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa in Colorado has a deal for ski-racing fans who would like to stay slope-side during the upcoming FIS World Alpine Ski Championships. Second only to the Winter Olympics, this competition is expected to bring the world’s best racers to Colorado Feb. 2-15.
The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, which is the official lodging partner for the event, will be at the heart of the action, resort officials said.
Here’s the offer: Those who book now for the championships will receive a savings of more than 70% if they return to the resort in April. Room rates during the ski races start at $699 for this posh hotel.
But come April, when spring conditions prevail, returnees will receive a guaranteed rate of $125 per night. (April rates average $450 per night.) For reservations, go to Park Hyatt Beaver Creek or call (970) 949-1234 and use booking code SKI25 or SKI125.
The resort also is offering a separate “Ski With a Legend” experience during the championships, in which guests can make turns with and pick up tips from former Olympic greats Phil and Steve Mahre. Skiers who book this experience will have access to the brothers for the entire day through dinner.
The cost is $2,500 per person for a full day of one-on-one skiing with one of the brothers or $4,000 for both. Other activities, such as cocktails and dinner, are extra. For details, contact Becki Phelan at (970) 827-6653 or [email protected].
