Your Scene: Sea birds escape from San Francisco

Andrew Doucette and his family were finishing up a Yosemite/San Francisco trip last April when he caught this shot on a ride to Alcatraz Island. “The sea gulls followed us the whole way, floating alongside the ferry, and the composition just fell into place,” he said. It was a particularly memorable day, he said, that included a walk across the Golden Gate and a sumptuous dinner of dumplings at Tian Sing. His camera: an Olympus SP-350.
