Reporting from Las Vegas — Never fear you won’t get tickets to see diva Celine Dion perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The singer just announced that 23 more performances, from Feb. 23 through June 4, 2016, are going on sale.
After a vocal infection in July 2014, Dion took a year off to recuperate and care for her husband, René Angélil, who had a cancerous tumor removed in December 2013.
In August, she returned to her performances in Las Vegas with a completely updated show. Since making her comeback, the Canadian singer has performed 18 consecutive sold-out shows in front of more than 75,000 people.
The revamped show offers 23 songs, including her biggest hits, such as “The Power of Love,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “A New Day Has Come” and her show-stopping finale, “My Heart Will Go On.” All are backed by a full orchestra.
Dion dabbles in songs from Queen, Prince, the Bee Gees and Judy Garland along the way, and sings duets with holograms of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.
New dates in 2016 include Feb. 23, 24, 26 and 27; March 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11 and 12; May 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 27, 28 and 31; and June 1, 3 and 4.
Tickets go on sale Friday and start at $55.
