Reporting from Las Vegas — Country singer Jamey Johnson is set to bring his Grammy Award-nominated music to the 827-seat Orleans Showroom on Oct. 10-11.
The Alabama native launched his career in 2006 with his debut song “The Dollar,” the title track for his first album. That same year, Johnson co-wrote “Give It Away” for George Straight, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s country charts, and co-authored Trace Adkins’ songs “Ladies Love Country Boys” and “I Got My Game On.”
Johnson’s second album, “That Lonesome Song,” came out in 2010 and went platinum with two Billboard top-40 hits -- “In Color” and “High Cost of Living.” His subsequent album, “The Guitar Song,” earned gold certification.
Johnson went on to win two Song of the Year trophies -- for his tracks “Give It Away” and “In Color” -- from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Assn.
The singer and songwriter released his fifth studio album, a tribute to late songwriter Hank Cochran, in 2010.
Tickets start at $39.95.
