Eagle Rock principal won’t comment on Chou’s dismissal

Eagle Rock Principal Salvador Velasco said he is not ready to discuss the firing of football coach Jerry Chou. Velasco dismissed Chou as coach on Friday.

‘This is a confidential matter and it is still developing. I cannot get into any specifics,’ said Velasco, when reached by The Times today/Monday.

‘I respect his record. Otherwise, I have no comment at this point.’

Chou, who became Eagle Rock’s head football coach in 2004, won four Northern League titles and consecutive City Invitational championships in 2005 and 2006. His four-year record at Eagle Rock was 43-7.
