33 Slain in Philippines

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines — At least 33 people were killed and 21 wounded in three separate clashes between Philippine soldiers and guerrillas, the military said Thursday. Spokesmen said those killed included 14 soldiers, 17 guerrillas and two civilians.
