Bradley’s New Position on Gun Control Laws

I understand the nature of politics and the reasons that politicians sometimes reverse their positions on certain issues to “more accurately reflect their constituency.” I have been a Tom Bradley supporter since his first mayoral campaign. I am increasingly troubled, however, by his lack of conscience and integrity as reflected by his sudden opposition to gun control.

It is one thing to run for mayor with a pledge to serve four years and then change your mind. It is one thing to oppose Pacific Palisades drilling and then change your mind. It is quite another to flip-flop on an issue so fundamental to your essence as a public figure. That Mayor Bradley is willing to compromise his principles and his sense of morality for political expediency is truly unconscionable.
