Branches Continue to Provide Santa Monica Library Services

Some services of the Santa Monica Main Library will continue while the building is closed for remodeling and removal of asbestos.
Most circulating materials will be in storage but some will be offered at the library’s Montana Avenue, Fairview and Ocean Park branches. Audiovisual services are also available at the branches.
A limited collection of automobile repair manuals is available at the Reference Service Center at the Fairview branch, along withe city and state maps and Haines Criss-Cross telephone directories. Topographical maps are not available.
New books acquired for the Main Library will be distributed to the branches. Borrowed books may be returned to any of the branches.
While the Main Library is closed, branch hours have been extended to noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Meeting rooms and the auditorium at the main library will not be available during the renovation.
