VEGGIES

Andrews insults, puts down and ridicules Barbara Wong, a vegetarian who wrote him for advice.
I wonder what buttons she pushed in his gut. He tells her she’s “silly,” and to stop annoying waiters with her “principles.” I guess that means that George Bernard Shaw, Leonardo Da Vinci, Gandhi and I are “silly” too, and that the red-blooded, cholesterol-laced, cardiac Americans, “carnivores” as he puts it, being in the majority, have a right to treat a minority with contempt and worse.
In my book, that’s called fascism, and speaking of books, Andrews’ is now in my garbage can.
