The assistant city manager and director of community development for Alhambra has been named city manager of Agoura Hills.
David Carmany, 29, was unanimously selected by the Agoura Hills City Council in a closed meeting.
Carmany will assume his new post Feb. 18, and Felicity Kidd, acting city manager, will again become assistant city manager, said Mayor Fran Pavley. Carmany will be paid $55,000 a year, she said.
Carmany was one of about 40 candidates for the job vacated by Mike Huse, who resigned last November to become city manager of Solana Beach.
Carmany was graduated from the University of Southern California in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in public administration. For two years, he was administrative assistant to the city manager for the then newly incorporated city of Lancaster.
