McDonnell Douglas Breaks Ground for New Facility

McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems Co. broke ground for a $24.5-million facility in Santa Ana that will ultimately house the 700 company employees now scattered among 11 separate facilities in Orange County.
The company purchased the 52-acre site at Edinger Avenue and Ritchey Street in 1985 and expects to complete the 335,000-square-foot facility by late 1988. Current projections call for the facility to house about 1,200 employees by the mid-1990s.
McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems Co. makes electronic equipment and software systems which are sold throughout the world.
