San Marino : Nowak New City Manager

John Nowak, 35, has been named city manager, succeeding Allen Brice Stephenson, who retired June 30. Nowak has been assistant city manager since April, 1986.

A New York native with a master’s degree in public administration from West Virginia University, Nowak held city and county positions in Tennessee and was assistant city manager in Lancaster before coming to San Marino.

The City Council has also appointed Capt. Jack Yeske of the San Marino Police Department to serve as acting police chief, following the July 1 retirement of Jim Moore.
