A tank fire at the Chevron oil refinery in Philadelphia that was touched off by a lightning storm sputtered and died after burning up 1 million gallons of gasoline, a spokesman said. The 4-million-gallon tank was only about one-quarter full at the time. The blaze raged out of control for two days and had firefighters worried that nearby tanks might ignite.
