A 23-year-old man killed his estranged girlfriend and her mother in a Southwest Los Angeles apartment Tuesday, then drove to his Lennox area home where he shot himself to death as his mother and sheriff’s negotiators tried to talk him out of it, authorities said.
Dimitri Woods stood in his back yard in the 1600 block of West 110th Street arguing with his mother and keeping the muzzle of a .45-caliber pistol to his chin for nearly two hours before finally pulling the trigger, sheriff’s deputies said.
Earlier in the afternoon, Los Angeles police said, Woods fatally shot Zelda Osborn, 23, through the front door of an apartment in the 2900 block of 11th Avenue, then pushed his way inside and killed her mother, Marva Osborn, 46.
