Sales of domestically produced electronics gear and services were up 13% in the first quarter of 1988, compared to the year-ago period, the American Electronics Assn. reported. The association, which represents more than 3,500 U.S. electronics firms, said sales in the first three months of this year reached $66.7 billion, up from $58.9 billion during the 1987 first quarter. Those figures compared to the record 1987 fourth-quarter sales of $69.3 billion.
