Southern California Edison was awarded $7.9 million for saving money on fuel costs in 1986 at coal-fired generating plants at Four Corners and Mohave, but penalized $798,682 for an eight-day outage at its San Onofre nuclear plant. The actions by the California Public Utilities Commission will be taken into account when the commission reviews Edison’s electric rates later this year.
