Bultman Places 4th in Junior Track Meet

Dave Bultman of UCLA placed fourth in the shotput at the World Junior Track and Field Championships in Sudbury, Canada, on Saturday.
Bultman, the 1987 state high school champion in the shotput and discus at Royal High, put the shot 57 feet, 5 inches, just shy of his personal best of 57-6.
Alexander Klimenko of the Soviet Union won the event with a 62-1 effort and Michael Stulce of the U. S. took the silver with a 60-7. Klimenko’s teammate, Alexander Klimov, won the bronze medal with a 59-3 put.
Quincy Watts, formerly of Taft High, and Angela Burnham of Rio Mesa High, will run legs on the men’s and women’s 400-meter relay as the five-day meet ends this evening.
Burnham placed sixth in the 100 meters Thursday.
