Blue Cross of California named Brian J. Donnelly as senior vice president and general counsel, and David S. Helwig as vice president and chief actuary. Blue Cross, based in Woodland Hills, is one of the state’s biggest health insurers.
Donnelly previously was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at American General Life Insurance in Houston. Helwig most recently was chief actuary at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Virginia.
