Flying Right?

With a great deal of astonishment I read the letter published by The Times on Aug. 14 by attorney Russell D. Jura (“Is It the Same Airline?”) about American Airlines. The American Airlines I know is not like the one he criticized. Everyone at American I meet is courteous and friendly and always efficient. Unfortunately, some people make trouble for themselves no matter how they travel.
As an example of poetic justice, on a late flight from Chicago to Los Angeles there was a young attorney who was so rude and overbearing that the rest of us in first class bled for the poor flight attendants. When we picked up our baggage, guess whose bag was missing. I smiled all the way home.
