Four San Diego County Sheriff’s Department divers caught snatching lobsters from a commercial fishing bed off La Jolla face misdemeanor counts of game law violations. “Lobsters really bring out the larceny in everybody,” said state Fish and Game Warden Mike Castleton, who apprehended the four members of an elite rescue and evidence-gathering team. The divers were on duty at the time and were using county equipment, including an inflatable boat, according to Sheriff’s Department sources.
