No Clues in Fatal Shooting of Glendale Man

Authorities say they have no clues in the shooting of a man in Rolling Hills Estates on Christmas Eve--the first homicide in the upscale Palos Verdes Peninsula community in at least 10 years.
Feliciano Taizan, a 20-year-old Mexican national who had been living with relatives in Glendale, was shot about 6:15 p.m. as he drove alone through the parking lot of a Burger King restaurant near the Peninsula Shopping Mall.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Detective Mike Robinson said Taizan had driven from Glendale to meet his girlfriend. Taizan was not believed to have been involved in gangs or drugs, he said. Robbery was not a motive, since $200 was found on his body, Robinson said.
Investigators would not say how many times he was shot.
Robinson said that Taizan was employed at a machine shop in Burbank and that his parents live in Mexico.
