General Plan to be Updated

The Rolling Hills City Council has agreed to hire Cotton/Beland Associates of Pasadena to review and update the city’s General Plan and revise its zoning ordinances.
City Manager Terrence Belanger said the city will spend between $80,000 and $90,000 on the revisions, which will be ready at the end of the year.
The General Plan, adopted in 1973 when the city’s population was about 1,500, does not reflect changing development trends.
Belanger has said that in some instances, the city’s zoning is in conflict with the goals of the plan.
