A sailor who leaped from the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge on Sunday survived the plunge and was reported in critical condition at UC San Diego Medical Center.
The man jumped off the bridge at 6:45 p.m. and was pulled from the water a short time later by officers on a Harbor Police boat, Officer Gary Leeson said. A Life Flight helicopter flew the victim to the medical center.
