An employee of the Carnivale Nightclub in Glendale was hit by gunfire early Wednesday when an unknown suspect fired shots into the club, Glendale police said.
Edgardo Menjivar, 22, of Monrovia was wounded at 3:13 a.m. by shots fired from a semiautomatic weapon through the windows on the north side of the building in the 200 block of North Glendale Avenue, police said.
Police found Menjivar in the kitchen of the club. He was taken to Glendale Adventist Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for multiple gunshot wounds to his legs, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Menjivar was in stable condition Wednesday, the spokeswoman said. Police said several people were working in the building when the shots were fired. The shooting remained under investigation by police.
