Westwood : $20,000 Reward on Attack

UCLA Medical Center has doubled to $20,000 the reward for information leading to the person responsible for the Feb. 19 shooting death of one of its employees and the wounding of another.
Diondra Picou, 22, a patient escort, died immediately after the shooting. Nora Arellano, 30, a patient escort dispatcher, remains in fair condition recovering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Medical Center spokesman Michael Byrne.
After the early morning shooting, police detectives conjectured that the suspect knew one of the victims and had an intimate knowledge of the maze of offices inside the hospital.
“We hope that the increased reward will help bring information to light that will help solve this terrible crime,” said Aaron Lohr, deputy director of the medical center.
