WORLD IN BRIEF : SOUTH AFRICA : Bomb Injures 27 at Black Bus Station

A bomb exploded at a crowded black bus terminal in Johannesburg, injuring 27 people in what appeared to be the work of right-wing extremists. The bomb, hidden in a trash can, scattered pieces of concrete and debris. Most of the injuries were minor. It was the most serious of six explosions in the past week. White extremists claimed responsibility for the previous blasts. Right-wing whites have expressed anger with the government’s plans to end apartheid and share power with blacks.
