ROUNDUP : Palm Paces Master’s Past Chapman in Soccer

Led by senior forward Chris Palm, The Master’s College blasted Chapman, 6-0, in a nonconference soccer match at Master’s on Thursday night.
Palm, a three-time National Assn. of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American, scored three goals to lead Master’s (2-1), which is ranked 12th in the NAIA preseason poll.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Burroughs d. Notre Dame, 10-15, 15-9, 15-10, 15-10--Middle blocker Jennifer Wagner had 23 kills to lead Burroughs in a nonleague opener at Burroughs. Notre Dame’s Mary Strong had 12 kills.
Saugus d. Santa Paula, 15-7, 7-15, 15-9, 17-15--Jeannie Lane and Lindsay Estes each had seven kills and Katie Cauller recorded six aces for Saugus.
L.A. Baptist d. Chaminade, 6-15, 15-11, 15-12, 15-12--Senior outside hitter Monica Davis had 16 kills for L.A. Baptist.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Southern California College d. The Master’s, 12-15, 9-15, 15-3, 15-3, 15-9--Brenda Bement had 10 kills to lead host Master’s (0-2) in an NAIA District 3 match.
WATER POLO
Bell Gardens tournament--Crespi posted wins of 13-5 over Montebello and 21-7 over Lakewood.
