COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Kenney, Pauley Lead Cypress Men Past Snow College

Sophomore forward Brian Kenney scored 18 points and sophomore center Eric Pauley added 13 as Cypress College defeated Snow College of Utah, 81-54, Thursday in the first round of the Dixie Tournament in St. George, Utah.
Kenney, who missed four games earlier this season because of a broken nose and a sore back, was eight of 11 from the field and Pauley made five of eight shots as Cypress (10-5) shot 53% for the game. Sophomore forward Charles Lockard added 10 for Cypress, which led at the half, 34-21.
In women’s nonconference basketball:
Rancho Santiago 62, Oxnard 56--Alin Perez had 19 points and nine rebounds for host Rancho Santiago.
Cheryl Henderson scored 10 and had a team-high 13 rebounds and Laurie Sallenger added 10 points for Rancho Santiago (6-9).
