CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : SACRAMENTO : Bandit’s Holdups Establish Record

The FBI says an elusive bandit who hands notes to bank tellers has pulled his 24th robbery in the Sacramento region--a record for the area. The latest robbery occurred Thursday, at a Security Pacific Bank branch, just two hours after the FBI had announced it was stepping up the pressure on the man. FBI spokesman Tom Griffin said the man usually strikes in the afternoon.
