SIMI VALLEY : Job Fair for Youths Scheduled Saturday

Simi Valley youths seeking summer employment can attend a free city-sponsored Job Fair on Saturday.
The fair, open to people aged 15 to 22, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mountain Gate Plaza in the 1400 block of Los Angeles Avenue.
Representatives of 45 businesses in and near Simi Valley will be on hand to recruit job applicants, said Sandra Thompson, coordinator of the city’s Youth Employment Services.
“This is such a good opportunity, especially in a recession year, for young people who are looking for summer employment or other job opportunities,” Thompson said.
Some of the businesses and agencies participating in the fair include Bank of America, Radisson Hotel, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Lucky Food Center, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, the National Park Service, fast-food restaurants and specialty stores.
