For the 21st time in the 22-year history of the NCAA men’s volleyball tournament, two West Coast teams advanced to the title match. Cal State Long Beach defeated Penn State, 15-6, 15-3, 17-16, late Friday night at Honolulu after USC had beaten Indiana Purdue-Ft. Wayne, 15-9, 15-8, 12-15, 15-3, setting up a rematch of last year’s final won by USC.
