Bridge Derailment Sends 6 Freight Cars into Lake

DANBURY, Ohio — About 40 cars of a freight train derailed Wednesday while crossing a bridge over Sandusky Bay on Lake Erie. Six empty rail cars fell into the shallow water, authorities said, and about 30 people in a campground were evacuated as a precaution.
