Girl, 17, Found Dead of Gunshot Wound

A 17-year-old Pacoima girl was found shot to death late Saturday, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
The girl, whose identity was not released pending notification of relatives, was found dead of one gunshot wound about 11:30 p.m. in the 12900 block of Van Nuys Boulevard near Herrick Avenue, said Sgt. Steven Vinson. Officers discovered the body.
Investigators have no suspects in custody, and the motive for the shooting was unknown, Vinson said.
