COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Ray Leads Titan Women Past Northridge

Cal State Fullerton defeated Cal State Northridge, a second-year Division I independent that lost its ninth game in as many tries this season, 85-51, in a nonconference women’s basketball game Tuesday at Northridge.
Fullerton (4-1) made 33 of 68 field-goal attempts (49%), with guard Joey Ray leading all scorers with 25 points. Freshman Kisa Hughes added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Leading, 39-29, at the half, Fullerton went on a 34-6 scoring run to start the second half and build a 73-35 advantage with 8 minutes 35 seconds to play.
Northridge shot 29% from the field (17 of 59) and committed 28 turnovers.
The Northridge men’s and women’s basketball teams are a combined 0-15 this season.
