A 47-year-old Escondido man died after he was struck by a car as he crossed Valley Parkway, police said.
Terry Busby suffered severe injuries Wednesday while crossing in the 2300 block of the thoroughfare. He was struck by a car driven by Roy Caldwell, 52, of Escondido, police said. Busby, who apparently was crossing in mid-block, was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he died.
