The Los Angeles/Anaheim chapter of the Baseball Writers Assn. of America announced its Dodger and Angel award winners for its annual dinner Feb. 14 at the Long Beach Sheraton.
Dodger winners include: MVP and rookie of the year, Eric Karros; pitcher of the year, Kevin Gross, and most inspirational player, Mitch Webster.
Angel winners include MVP, Luis Polonia; pitcher of the year, Jim Abbott; rookie of the year, Gary DiSarcina, and most inspirational, Manager Buck Rodgers.
