French Tourist Dies in Swim Off Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH — A French tourist died while swimming in the Atlantic Ocean off Miami Beach. George Menant, 68, of Paris was swimming with his wife in the surf Friday when he suddenly appeared floating face down in the water. Bystanders pulled him to shore, but efforts to revive him failed, authorities said.
