A storm that began dropping light rain on Ventura County on Sunday afternoon is expected to continue showering the area today, weather forecasters said.
Two storms--one from the Pacific Northwest and another between Southern California and Hawaii--merged Sunday and are expected to produce showers over most of the state, said James McCutcheon, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., a private firm that provides forecasts for The Times.
“It will probably be only a quarter of an inch,” McCutcheon said, noting that northern Ventura County is expected to receive a little more rain than the rest of the county.
Officials from the National Weather Service said cloudy skies are expected Tuesday, with a chance of light rain.
