Company Town : VP Steinberg Leaving Disney’s Imagineering Division
- Share via
Mickey Steinberg, executive vice president of Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale, plans to resign from Disney on June 17, a spokesman for the division confirmed Monday.
As second in command of the division that designs theme parks and rides, Steinberg has been in charge of construction, while division President Marty A. Sklar focused primarily on creative and artistic issues.
Steinberg said in a memo to the 1,700-member Imagineering staff that his decision to leave was a personal one, though he has disclosed no immediate plans. He came to Disney five years ago from Portman Cos., an Atlanta-based hotel developer.
