A Thousand Oaks supermarket was robbed by two men wielding a sawed-off shotgun and a handgun, authorities said Sunday.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the men burst into the Albertson’s Market on the 1700 block of East Avenida de los Arboles, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Adel Moussa.
Moussa said the robbers approached a female clerk who was working inside the manager’s office and demanded money. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the assailants then fled.
No injuries were reported.
Moussa said that despite an intensive air and ground search of the area, deputies could not find the suspects.
