NEWPORT BEACH : Library Wins Grant for Author Series
- Share via
The Newport Beach Public Library Foundation has received a $2,500 grant from the Pacific Mutual Foundation to begin a “Meet the Authors” round-table series, focusing on five young adult fiction writers.
Program dates have not been set, but the library’s staff and the city Young Adult Advisory Council are coordinating plans for the series. Programs will be geared for seventh- to 12th-graders.
The purpose of the free series is to “expand young adults’ interest in recreational reading and writing,” said Judy Kelly, the library’s youth and branch services manager.
