OJAI : Fire Engulfs House; No One Is Injured

A fire early Tuesday afternoon gutted a small Ojai house but caused no injuries, the Ventura County Fire Department said.
The house was engulfed in flames by the time about 20 firefighters responded to the 12:07 p.m. call in the 900 block of La Luna Avenue, Fire Department spokeswoman Debra Davis said.
Twenty minutes later, the fire was “pretty much out and did not spread,” she said.
The house, which Davis said was valued at $60,000, sustained $30,000 in damage to the structure and $8,000 in damage to its contents.
An investigation is continuing, Davis said.
