A look at California’s economy: As the state adjusts to post-Cold War economics, the University of Southern California’s Population Research Laboratory is sponsoring a seminar on “The Reconstruction of California’s Economy” today at the USC Davidson Conference Center, 3415 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles. The workshop begins at 8 a.m. and will examine ways that the state’s economy is changing. It includes a 1:20 p.m. presentation on “Immigrants and the Restructuring of the California Economy”.
