IRVINE — CardioVascular Dynamics Inc., which makes heart and therapeutic catheters that deliver drugs, said Wednesday that it has agreed to license a new technology called Facilitated Force Angioplasty. The technology, developed by Dr. Michael Stillabower, uses a novel catheter design to provide a controlled incision to “score” or cut atherosclerotic plaque. CVD agreed to develop the technology, complete human clinical investigation and obtain all necessary regulatory approvals on a worldwide basis.
