Re the Sept. 22 Doonesbury comic strip by Garry Trudeau:
Trudeau crossed over the line of decency. “Law-Abiding Sport Bomber”? No sane American wants to see anyone killed by a firearm or a bomb, be they members of the National Rifle Assn. or not.
I find it an outrage that Trudeau implies that members of the NRA desire to kill people for sport or use bombs as personal protection.
According to a recent Science News edition, even promoters of taggants agree that the issue of taggants in gunpowder needs further study. Early tests showed that some taggants caused gunpowder to become unstable and self- combust.
