Irvine Sensors Corp.: The Costa Mesa manufacturer of electronics, specialty circuits and infrared devices said it lost $2.7 million for the fiscal second quarter ended March 30, compared with a net loss of $1.8 million for last year’s second quarter. The company said the higher loss reflected the high fixed costs of the IBM cubing line in Vermont acquired after the comparable reporting period last year. Revenue increased 65% to a record $3.3 million from $2 million. The first-half net loss was $4.3 million, compared to $3 million for the first six months last year. Revenue rose 50% to $6.9 million from $4.6 million.
