* UPDATE: Dickson has been the league’s best rookie pitcher, but Manager Terry Collins is concerned the right-hander has thrown a lot of innings (35 2/3) and pitches (497) in his five starts and might be showing signs of wear. Dickson, who has two complete-game victories, tired in the seventh inning of his last start Friday, giving up a three-run homer to Detroit’s Bubba Trammell and exiting after 100 pitches. “It’s something we have to be aware of, when fatigue starts to set in,” Collins said. Hammond is a reliever who replaced injured knuckleballer Tim Wakefield in the rotation and threw six scoreless innings against Baltimore on Friday in his first start.
