During a six-month search that began in January, more than 50 academics applied for the newly created position of vice president for university relations at Cal State Northridge. By April, the list had been whittled to two. . . . But CSUN President Blenda J. Wilson decided that neither finalist was quite right for the $120,000-a-year job. A search committee is expected to begin the hunt anew today.
